As NIOA’s Armoury and Technical Services Manager, Greg oversees the day to day activities of the Armoury Workshop, as well as providing valuable technical support for the sales and warranty/repair sections.

Prior to joining NIOA in 2002, Greg ran his own custom gunsmithing business, building a reputation as one of Australia’s leading gunsmiths. Over the years he has expanded his technical expertise by gaining factory armourer certification for many of the world’s leading firearm brands.

As an avid collector Greg has amassed an enviable collection of historical military firearms which he restores and maintains for theatrical use in film and TV productions. His lifelong interest in all things firearm related makes him well suited to this role and he brings an immense depth of knowledge to the team.

 

Brad Stevens - Senior Optical Specialist and Armourer

Brad started with NIOA in 2003 and has filled various roles in the sales and warranty areas previous to his current role as Senior Optical Specialist and Armourer. 

He has attended the Leupold factory custom shop and repair centre training course in the USA, and is now one of three Leupold factory certified repairers on staff. He is highly knowledgeable in the repair and customizing of Leupold optics and is also well versed in the repair and warranty support of all NIOA’s firearms and accessories products.

Growing up in a family that owned retail firearm outlets, he has absorbed a broad range of knowledge which is beneficial in providing the superior service and support our customers have come to expect. 

From a very young age, Brad has been an active shooter in various disciplines such as IPSC, Rimfire and Centrefire Benchrest and general sporting shooting. However, his main passion is competition clay target shooting.

 

Michael Cunneen - Optical Specialist and Armourer

Michael joined NIOA in 2012, after many years in the retail firearm sector. He brings with him a wealth of experience in all brands of firearms and firearms accessories.

Michael has attended the Leupold factory custom shop and repair centre training course in the USA, and is now one of three Leupold factory certified repairers on staff.

Michael is a keen shooter, four wheel driver and enjoys various water sports and boating activities.

 

Leigh Hobbs - Armourer

Leigh joined NIOA in 2014 after a sucessfull career in the ADF, filling various roles including that of an Armament Fitter. Leigh brings an extensive military firearm and armouring skillset to NIOA, which is proving invaluable to the workshop team.

In his spare time Leigh enjoys shooting and camping, and is also an avid dirt bike rider.

 

Keith Grundy - Gunsmith

Keith joined NIOA in 2015 after many years in the retail firearm and gunsmithing sectors. Keith has a vast depth of knowledge on firearms, and has gained many accreditations in the gunsmithing trade in various specialties from all around the world.

Keith has a great love of the outdoors, and is a keen hunter, fisherman and dirt bike rider.
